You may use this platform, including the eReader, AI image generation, and personalization tools, for lawful personal and educational purposes. Alexandria enables users to generate images based on book excerpts using OpenAI's DALL·E 3 model, enhanced by optional styling modifiers (e.g., "8-bit", "cyberpunk").

2. Prohibited Uses

• Do not use the services to create, share, or promote harmful, explicit, misleading, or unlawful content.
• Do not attempt to circumvent our authentication, rate limits, or data storage policies (powered by Supabase).
• Do not reverse engineer, extract, or scrape data from the AI systems or image models we integrate (including OpenAI APIs).
• Do not interfere with or disrupt our infrastructure, including our Next.js-based frontend or backend services.

3. Intellectual Property

All generated content, branding, software, and designs are owned by Alexandria or its licensors. This includes the image prompts, visual themes (e.g., 8-bit, cyberpunk), and AI-assisted outputs unless explicitly stated otherwise. You may view, share, and download generated content for personal use, but redistribution or commercial use requires prior consent.

4. User Content

By highlighting text, entering prompts, or generating media, you grant Alexandria a non-exclusive, worldwide license to store, display, and improve the user experience using this content. All data is securely stored and managed using Supabase. You retain ownership of your contributions, subject to this license.

5. AI Disclaimers

Alexandria integrates third-party AI services (including OpenAI's image generation models). Outputs may be unexpected, biased, or imperfect. We do not guarantee the factual accuracy, stylistic quality, or appropriateness of any generated content. Use discretion and report misuse or inappropriate results.

6. Modifications to the Service

We may update, limit, or discontinue any feature or service at any time, including access to certain styles, models, or image generation tiers. Feature availability may depend on your subscription plan.

7. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms of Use at any time. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
